It makes me sad that the fandom isn't what it used to be. I remember a time where I could go to an archive and read _quality_ work. Now all I'm finding seems to be useless drivel. It got me to thinking that I used to be semi-known in the Sailor Moon fandom. It was my first one, the fandom that got me into fanfic (and let's be honest, writing in general) and hell, even helped me realize my sexuality (that's a story for another time,
I was even recalling the other day some names of the authors I still consider the greats... Erica Friedman, Jackie Chiang, Greenbeans, Andrea Hui, Tim Nolan, Dreiser, LexTennou, Saun...
I still write Sailor Moon occasionally. But god, I feel so old when I go to some of the newer websites, kinda like a dirty old lady.
I got known though, for writing Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfic, more specifically my Willow/Tara stuff. The website where I posted my first fic is still up, and it's funny to me because I know that story is never going to get finished. Every now and then though I get a fan letter or a review begging me to finish it. It makes me feel good to know people still appreciate my work.
It's just odd to me at times how I've grown and changed as a fanfic writer/author. Maybe I'll post more about it later...
